What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a manual approach to the human body that combines a variety of manipulations and body techniques to contribute to self-regulation of the body. Originating in the late 19th century in the United States, this approach was perfected in Europe and aim the entire human body and seeks to facilitate overall health. Osteopathy certainly aims at bone alignment and has a set of techniques intended for this purpose but also offers vascular, visceral, muscular, fascial and cranial approaches in order to aim for a balance of body structures and their functions. Janeck Olczyk was trained at the Sutherland Academy of Osteopathy of Quebec, a complete and recognized training of 6 years under the tutelage of Guy Voyer DO, Osteopath of international renown in high performance athletes. His skills acquired during his training included gentle manipulation and fascial listening as well as structural alignment techniques as well as visceral and cranial osteopathic normalizations where he excelled. His journey allowed him to have a solid foundation for his practice, which he continues to deepen with new health knowledge to offer you optimal osteopathic care by encompassing all the parameters of a holistic health. His deep understanding of the human body allows him to optimize the care and approaches used to meet your specific needs.
He is now designing and offering osteopathic workshops and a deeper trainings intended to show osteopathic approaches to massage therapist and other health care practionners.
